Cabbage Lentil Soup

1 ½ cup red lentils

1 cup cabbage, shredded

3 cup water

1 onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

Salt and pepper

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp coriander

½ tsp turmeric

1 tsp mustard oil

2 tbsp BeVego Gingerbread Protein Powder

1 tsp parsley, chopped



  1. In a large saucepan, add the lentils with the water.
  2. Cover and cook for 12 minutes on high heat.
  3. Add the cabbage, turmeric, cumin, coriander, cayenne, salt, pepper, and cook for 8 minutes.
  4. In another pan, add the mustard oil. Fry the minced garlic and onion.
  5. Toss until brown and add to the soup. Add the protein powder and mix until well combined.
  6. Serve hot with parsley, cayenne on top.
